Our Gifts:
Our goal is to curate an ever-changing gift collection that combines artistic form with function, that recycles materials while renewing lives, so that by shopping here you are also doing good. All of the items we sell are fair trade, eco-friendly and support a social mission. They are made by skilled artisans from around the world or close to home. Each product carries a story; of the artisan who lovingly made it, the community where the materials originated and the techniques used to produce it.
Our Wines:
When you run a busy restaurant (Baldwin’s Station, right across the street) you must create a wine list that includes well-known or popular wines from vineyards that have large enough inventory to ensure a constant supply. However, we are fortunate to also be in the unique position to work with our wine reps who love to share their new favorites, lesser known or smaller batch wines with us. In turn, we are happy to share these “finds” with you so you can confidently try something new without the fear of failure. And we can offer them at amazingly low prices – Cheers!
The Vine:
Vines reach out to make connections and some vines bear fruit. Just as it takes time for a vine to grow and become ready for harvest, we invite you to relax and take your time to wander our shop, to discover more about each item and why we chose it. We also welcome you to sample some fruit of the vine while you shop. Perhaps you will branch out and make a connection to something perfect for yourself, for your home, for a gift, or simply for a good cause.
Shop well, do good!
Our Story
We started as a small wine shop called Cork & Bottle in 2012. Our location, next to the river and railroad tracks in beautiful historic Main Street Sykesville which gives us an amazing vantage point to connect with locals and visitors alike. The outdoor wine cafe was added in 2016, which started the idea of how we could offer more to our community and began our transformation.
Owner Ridia Dearie is proud to present our new identity as The Vine On Main, an international gifts & wine shop focusing on fair trade, ecologically and socially conscious, and unique items.
